Two things that consistently make me excited every day to get out of bed: pouring a cup of coffee and dry brushing. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again now, dry brushing honestly feels like a cup of coffee for your skin. Between my actual coffee and this, I’m ready for the day every single day.
I dry brush each morning – not because I feel like I have but, but it’s because I genuinely love it. No exaggeration, I get so E X C I T E D!
It has so many great benefits. Between exfoliation, detoxification, circulation and improving the appearance of skin, it’s easily my number one form of self-care, especially in the morning. You can read more about these benefits here.
When I forget for a few days at a time, I can always tell a difference in my skin not being as bright. As soon as I get back on the dry brush train, I honestly feel so much more refreshed. Not to mention, the way the bristles feel on my skin is so relaxing and calming.
My whole dry brushing routine takes under a minute if I am hopping in the shower right after and about two minutes when I am not because I apply my favorite oil as a moisturizer right after. To see a video on how to brush for the best circulation, watch this!
Mine is from The Body Shop, and you can find it here. Primally Pure also has one with fantastic reviews. You can find it here. They typically range between $8-12.
There’s something special about doing something for yourself first thing in the morning, and when what you’re doing has as many benefits as dry brushing, it really changes the way you view your morning routine. I highly recommend starting to implement a dry brush into your routine for the health and beauty benefits, but mostly just for the excuse to do something just for you. We need more of that. Don’t you agree?
Do you dry brush? Let me know in the comments! If you don’t, feel free to use my code HAILEY10 on Primally Pure to get your very own.
